LEWISVILLE, Texas—Mortgage Contracting Services, LLC, or MCS, a national provider of services to the mortgage industry, is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed its Service Organization Control, Type # SOC 2 examination.
“We are excited to have successfully completed the SOC 2 examination process, as it enables us to build upon our customers’ trust to operate securely,” said Caroline Reaves, Chief Executive Officer of MCS. “This high standard is just the latest step in our commitment to the companies we serve.”
Completion of an SOC 2 demonstrates that a company has established technology processes and practices with proper monitoring across an organization. In order to complete the SOC 2 process, a company must undergo a thorough review by a third party.
In the case of MCS, the company was evaluated on three principles, including:
- Security– an evaluation indicating MCS’ system is protected against unauthorized access, use or modification
- Availability – indicating the company’s system is available for operation and use, as agreed
- Confidentiality – meaning information designated as confidential is protected.

The SOC 2 examination of MCS was performed by an independent CPA firm, Schellman & Company, LLC, during the time period January 1, 2017 to June 30, 2017.
This is just the latest successful review for MCS, which has completed SOC 1 and other examinations in prior years.
